'FOR SOME IT'S A HOBBY, FOR OTHERS AN OBSESSION.'
'The Medusa Box' tells the story of two mismatched hobbyists on a quest across Dartmoor to uncover the secret of 'The Elusive Medusa'.
The innocent pastime of Letterboxing, along with the stunning scenery of Dartmoor, forms the backdrop to a twisting tale of unhealthy obsessions and sinister secrets, one that will appeal to anybody with an appetite for mysteries and perhaps a little of the macabre.
The Medusa Box is a film project 8 years in the making so far. In September 2024 the cast and crew where assembled and the ambitious task of shootting this epic tale began.
So far around 95% of the footage has been captured and the team have endured some challenging shooting locations and conditions, but have adventured onwards regardless to capture all of the footage needed to tell this strange tale.
Post production has now started on the film and the team are aiming to complete The Medusa Box in 2025 to submit to festivals in 2026.

'The Medusa Box Prologue', the opening sequence to 'The Medusa Box', and a short film in its own right is currently on the 2024/25 festival circuit. A small cast and crew ventured to a forest on Dartmoor on the Spring Equinox 2022 to capture this opening scene.

THE 'BOX EP by JS ZEITER
This limited edition 12” EP contains the work of Manchester music producer JS Zeiter. This hypnotic soundscape takes you on a journey across the wild expanse of Dartmoor and consists of 5 tracks specially composed by Zeiter in response to the script and lookbook of 'The Medusa Box' movie.
The EP is presented as a white label release, pressed on luscious translucent red vinyl, and is individually hand-stamped with the 'Elusive Medusa', an enigmatic symbol, key to the movies narrative. Each copy of the EP comes with a digital download code.
All profits from the sale of the EP will go towards taking 'The Medusa Box' into production, and Zeiter's compositions will form the soundtrack to the film.
